This is the first book I’ve read by this author and in this series...Her characters are well rounded, real, and relatable I also really appreciate Lainey Davis keeping things short and sweet. If you like RomComs, found family, humor, drama, feels and spice then this book is for you.

I did have to pause for a few days after Forging Glory because having the same narrators in your ears during a binge, or box set in this case, can get rather tedious and I learned that lesson long ago! I wanted to give this collection the attention and critique it deserved. It was an excellent decision on my part! 5 STAR performance all around!!\n••\n📚These stories are interconnected in many ways and should not be read as standalones. Could they be read as standalones? I guess so, but you’d me missing out on some amazing big family energy, and what fun would that be!\n••\nOkay, about the OUT OF BOUNDS box set stories … The box set includes:\n••\n✔️Forging Passion ⇒ a one-night stand prequel to Forging Glory and the beginning of Wes & Cara’s incredible Professional Athlete story!\nThere’s not much meat to this prequel, but it does an excellent job of setting up for the full length story of Cara & Wes. It establishes their connection and allows them to begin to get to know one another.\n••\n✔️Forging Glory ⇒ Wes & Cara’s full length story that begins about a month after their one-night stand.\nTHIS STORY! What a tangled emotional web this turned out to be! The circumstance that Cara is battling with a person of authority is very relatable and showcased very realistically. It is not overly dramatized nor is it underplayed. It is presented into the story as a layer of depth to a mix of circumstances that sometimes had me in awe of these two kids! I mean, talk about life!\nThere’s a force that surrounds this story and while it is mainly focused on Cara and her circumstances, it also surrounds them both and works as a rally of sorts for their romance. You just root for their romance, but you will rise up for Cara as all side characters did for her.\n••\n✔️Forging Legacy ⇒ Wyatt & Fern’s story\nLainey does not stop including relatable and realistic circumstances when it comes to Wyatt & Fern’s story!\nOkay, so Fern & Wyatt are a one-night stand turn TA/student story. There are some major obstacles (obviously) in their path and the path is not at all smooth, but I love that Lainey wrote the stakes being high for both of them, just in different ways. A student teacher relationship is not good no matter the circumstances, but the effects of such a relationship are different for everyone. In this case, they were different but no less catastrophic for each other’s future. This added a level of emotion to the story and had me both in tears and laughing most of my listening time!\n••\n✔️Forging Chaos ⇒ Odin & Thora’s story\nWell, Lainey didn’t stop here either LOL! Odin and Thora are actually my favorite couple in this series. I love them all for different reasons, but Odin & Thora rested in my heart the most! I think I fell the hardest with these two because they are so opposite yet fit so perfectly. Everything from their economic differences to their deep love of family and commitment to each other (even when it seemed like they weren’t) just did it for me. It was a perfect round-up for me with this series!\n••\n✨There’s a life message in each of these stories that is commonplace, imo, in today’s society but they shouldn’t be. The characters are wonderfully complex just like people really are. I enjoyed the interspersed characters from previous books in the series as well. I'm in love with this series and I loved getting to know Ella & Bernard. This book had me laughing like crazy, swooning, smiling until my cheeks hurt, kicking my legs from being giddy, made me blush and then left me with a wonderful ending! \n\nThe narrators were Charlotte North & Alastair Haynesbridge. These two did a fantastic job telling Ella & Bernards story! I loved how they made me feel connected to these characters and felt their emotions. I was also entertained and they held my attention throughout the entire book.\n\nElla just moved into town and her brother offered to let her stay at his place while she looks for her own place. But he neglected to tell her she would be sleeping on a couch with no privacy while staying with him and his teammate Bernard. Thankfully Bernard offers up his room. As these two start spending more time together you feel the chemistry between them build like crazy! I loved their connection and how much he cheered her on with her schooling.\n\nElla has things from her past that hold her back because of her brother but with help from Bernard she starts letting things go. Her brother Jason will eventually get the wake up call he needs. You can't help but fall in love with these characters and want them all to be happy. Lainey always knows how to wrap you in a hug at the end of her books and make you want her next book ASAP!! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.\n\nI did read this book and listen to the audiobook. She's also known his best friend Bernard (Howie) Howser for most of her life and doesn't have a great opinion of him either. When she graduates from college with a nursing degree and moves to Pittsburgh to take a position at a hospital, she takes Jason up on his offer for her to stay at the place he shares with Bernard. However, there isn't actually a spare bedroom. Instead, Jason is expecting her to sleep on the couch in their living room. The bathrooms are only ensuite and there is zero privacy. Unlike Jason, Bernard, although a bit of a himbo on the surface, is really a sweetheart, and immediately offers up his bedroom.\n\nFrom there, they quickly start spending time together. Bernard figures out that she does much better studying audibly instead of reading so he starts quizzing her for her RN test prep. He also realizes she's been taking the bus to and from her 12 hr shifts and starts giving her rides. He even agrees to give her sex lessons when she tells him how inexperienced she is, although that's not a hardship since there's a pretty powerful attraction building between them.\n\nI loved Ella as well as Bernard. She's very strong and knows what she wants although her confidence is pretty low after the way she's been treated all her life. It's lovely to see her blossom. In there end, there is growth for all of the characters, even Jason. The Farm 2 Forking series has my top favorites plus a couple new ones I’ve been meaning to read forever.\n\nBook 1, Since You’ve Bean Gone, focuses on one of the Bedd siblings, Ethan, as they trying to figure out finances after their grandfather passed. His ex is the one from the financial company that grandad took all the loans out from, and so Lia is back in her small town for the first time since she disappeared on her high school sweetheart, breaking his heart.\n\nLia is trying to help the family, who treated her like one of them when she was a teen, save the soybean farm from foreclosure. She left for the big city and medical intervention once she graduated, and never looked back. She finally got a diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease, and even with her new doctor boyfriend treating her, the flare-ups are awful and she can’t go far from a bathroom.\n\nAs Lia and Ethan are forced to work closely together to figure out ways to get the farm solvent again, they find their way back to a friendship - and something a bit more. There’s also a very cute sheep, Baabara Streisand.\n\nI really enjoyed this close proximity, second chance high school sweethearts romance while they had to save the farm, and work through Crohn’s flare-ups. Having real life experiences like this make books more realistic and enjoyable. Thank you Lainey and Home Cooked Books PR for the advance copy - I definitely recommend this to all!
